Charity shops are gold mines into the past

I love the fact that charity shops have become popular again. When I was little we had to make sure nobody we knew from school were our town at that time so we could go into the charity shops. I know its one of the most popular things to do, and I'm very happy about this as I love finding cool pieces that are unique and have stories to them.
Know when it comes to charity shops I always find that if you want the best clothes (designer labels or good quality items) you want to go to the more richer areas. Places like canterbury, Rochester, Ashbourne. Just places where more rich people are likely to give away their clothes. I've personally always have followed this rule as I can get things like Ralph Lauren, Kurt Geiger and Chanel all for cheap prices (the student in me gets very pleased when I find a bargain).

One story I have about charity shops is that you can find some of the nicest people in there too. Due to them all being volunteers, they all are happy to help and get excited about what you find just as much as you do. Once I and my friends were looking for Halloween costumes, the people at the shop were so lovely and every time we would come out of the changing room we asked them to rate our outfits. As most charity shops can be quiet around my area I think the joy of having teens come in and have fun was something the staff loved. Let's just say those outfits looked amazing in the end.
