About me

Hi, I'm Alice. I'm an 18 year old girl who's studying Fashion Communication and Promotion at uni.
My passion's lie with the world of fashion, photography and film. I love to experiment with different ideas and concepts, learning new skills on the way. I've always been one to understand to gain inspiration from anywhere so expect to see a lot of tv and fashion collection reviews.

Here I'm going to write about my favourite things as well as the lessons I learn on the way. Hope you enjoy my content.

Ok so yes I may be late to this but Europhia came up in my recommended to watch so I thought why not. So me being an idiot bought the whole season on Youtube and watched in the space of 24 hours. Do I regret it? Surprisingly not due to how amazing the show is from the cinematography to the makeup. I had to sit after watching the season and digest it because, as a lover of cinema and visuals, the way they showed the carnival scene or when rue gets high was brilliant. There's a unique style to the shows pattern and aesthetic.

It's interesting that this is one of the few teen dramas based in high school that actually matches the way most high schools are. Even though some scenes may be a bit over the top the stories told are still the same as that of an ordinary 21st-century school. Or was it just mine that was messed up?

When watching the show I remembered a lot about when I was at school and the different stories going round or the messes me and my friends would get into. It makes me question why it took this long to make a tv show that younger generations could actually connect with unlike Riverdale and its questionable writing that makes you physically question what the fuck you're watching. Seriously Riverdale sort yourself out on what you are!

Besides the point, Europhia does this hard-hitting series with sections of comedy and love to break up how much suffering you go through with the characters. This then creates a much more acceptable way of telling stories as it makes it more believable.

I think the best thing about this show is the way everything fits together. The way each character has their own story, style and drama but it manages to not become a collision of different side focuses.

Personally, I believe that the telling of many stories and going on different diversions to be confusing and not the most enjoyable for me. For example, I normally use Pretty Little Liars. As much as people (including myself) loved that show and were hooked, the way they kept going from character to character, past to present. Honestly, my head actually felt like it exploded by the 4th season. The reason why my head didn't emotionally explode during Europhia was probably due to the way Rue was able to keep the timeline clean. Using narration in film and tv has been something that is normally used to keep the narrative or timeline, making it easier for the audience to understand why each scene is so important.

Now I won't get into much more detail but if you want more essay-style reviews of the show watch the below

And if you want to watch the show its available on HBO or for us non-Americans it's on YouTube for £14.99. Your welcome.
